Edmundson Industrial fabricates custom electrical enclosures, control panels, panel doors, covers, mounting plates, brackets, and complete equipment packages (including custom SCR houses and VFD houses) built to customer drawings, schematics, samples, or application requirements. In-house CNC fabrication capability in Houston, Texas.
Edmundson Industrial is not a broker reselling fabricated parts from a third party. When you request a custom enclosure, panel, or equipment package, we fabricate it ourselves (in-house, in Houston) using CNC press brakes, hydraulic shears, punching equipment, notching equipment, and CNC machining capability.
This means our fabrication quotes are grounded in real production capability, not guesswork. If it can be fabricated from steel, stainless, or aluminum to a drawing or specification, we can quote it. If the drawing is incomplete, we'll work with you to fill in the gaps before production begins.
Fabricated components and full assemblies can be quoted with electrical content integrated, breakers, contactors, controls, terminal blocks, conduit fittings, and other components specified and mounted as part of the build. We can quote the metal, the electrical, or both.
Request a Fabrication QuoteOur fabrication capability is built around CNC and hydraulic equipment suited to industrial-grade sheet metal and structural work. This is the equipment behind every fabrication quote we issue.
CNC-controlled press brake for precision forming and bending of sheet metal and plate. Used for enclosure sides, panel doors, cover plates, brackets, flanges, and complex multi-bend profiles.
Precision Bending & FormingCNC hydraulic shearing for straight-line cutting of sheet metal and plate stock to precise dimensions. Used to cut blanks for enclosure panels, door plates, mounting plates, and covers.
Sheet & Plate CuttingMetal notching equipment for clean corner notching on sheet metal and tubing. Used for enclosure corners, bracket profiles, and structural frame components requiring tight corner joints.
Corner NotchingIndustrial punch press equipment for clean hole punching in sheet metal for conduit knockouts, hardware mounting, venting, and custom aperture patterns per drawing specifications.
Conduit Knockouts & HardwareCNC machining capability for precision-machined components, flanges, custom hardware, adapter plates, machined brackets, and close-tolerance parts that require more precision than sheet metal processes alone.
Precision Machined ComponentsCompleted fabricated assemblies can be integrated with electrical content (breakers, contactors, terminal blocks, conduit fittings, controls, and wiring hardware) per customer specifications or bill of materials.
Electrical Integration AvailableStandard finishing options include deburring, grinding, and surface preparation. Powder coating, paint, and galvanizing can be coordinated through our supply network. Specify in your drawing or quote request.
Deburring & Surface PrepFabricated assemblies can be supplied with hardware, hinges, latches, handles, lock mechanisms, gland plates, mounting hardware, and fastener packages per the drawing or application requirement.
Complete Hardware PackagesFrom a single replacement panel door to a complete custom SCR house, here's what we build and what to expect from each type of order.
We fabricate custom electrical enclosures to customer drawings, schematics, field measurements, or samples. Enclosures are built for industrial, oilfield, and OEM applications, from small control boxes to large multi-compartment enclosures.
NEMA-rated enclosure designs (NEMA 1, 4, 4X, 12, 3R and others) are available depending on the specification and material requirements. We fabricate the enclosure structure; electrical content (breakers, contactors, controls) can be integrated as part of the same order.
Provide a drawing, a sketch with dimensions, a sample unit, or a detailed description. If you need a replacement enclosure that matches an existing installation, photos and field measurements are often sufficient to start the quote.
Get a Fabrication QuoteWe fabricate individual panel components (doors, covers, subpanels, mounting plates, and gland plates) for new builds, replacements, and retrofits. If an existing panel door is damaged, a mounting plate needs to be reconfigured, or a cover needs to be matched to a specific cutout pattern, we can fabricate a replacement to the required specification.
Panel door fabrication is one of our most common single-component orders, new doors with hinge mounts, lock provisions, and cutout patterns fabricated to drawings or from a field sample. Subpanels and back-panel mounting plates can be fabricated with pre-drilled or punched mounting patterns per the drawing or DIN rail configuration.
Request a Panel QuoteCustom SCR house and VFD house fabrication is one of our core capabilities. We build complete housing structures and equipment packages for oilfield, industrial, and custom drive system applications, designed to the customer's specification and integrated with the required electrical content.
For SCR houses, we fabricate the structural enclosure, internal mounting arrangements, and cable entry provisions per the customer's specification, and can source and integrate the SCR system electrical components (power sections, control sections, cooling, and related hardware) as part of the build. For VFD house builds, the same approach applies.
Provide your specification, a reference drawing, or a description of the application and we'll work with you to develop a quote. Experience with oilfield SCR and VFD house requirements means we understand what these builds require.
Request an Equipment Package QuoteBeyond enclosures and panels, we fabricate individual metal parts for industrial electrical applications, mounting brackets, equipment guards, adapter plates, spacers, and custom hardware components built to a drawing, sample, or specification.
These are often replacement parts for equipment where the original fabricated component is damaged, unavailable, or needs to be modified for a new application. Provide the original part or a drawing, and we'll quote a replacement or modified version.
Request a Custom Parts QuoteWe support customers at every point on the fabrication spectrum, from a single component to a fully-integrated, shipped-ready equipment package.
Individual replacement or new parts, a panel door, a mounting plate, a bracket, a cover. Quoted and fabricated from a drawing, field sample, or dimensions.
Complete enclosure fabrication (structure, doors, hardware) delivered ready for field installation and wiring. Customer specifies the enclosure; we fabricate and ship it.
Enclosure or panel fabricated and populated with specified electrical components (breakers, contactors, controls, terminal blocks, and associated hardware) per the customer's bill of materials or schematic.
Turnkey equipment packages (SCR houses, VFD houses, custom drive enclosures) fabricated, populated, and ready to ship. The full structure and electrical content quoted and built as a single scope.
Repeat fabrication orders for OEM manufacturers and panel builders needing consistent parts, enclosures, or assemblies across multiple units or production runs. Provide a drawing or first article, we quote repeat production.
Fabrication support for field retrofit projects, replacement panels, modified enclosure components, or new structures that need to fit within existing footprints or mating dimensions.
Fabrication material is specified by the customer or determined by the application. Common materials and specifications for industrial electrical fabrication are listed below.
Standard hot-rolled and cold-rolled steel for general industrial enclosures, structural components, mounting plates, and brackets. Most industrial enclosure work is fabricated from 12, 14, or 16 gauge cold-rolled steel unless the drawing specifies otherwise.
Stainless steel fabrication for NEMA 4X and corrosion-resistant applications, food processing, marine, chemical, and washdown environments. 304 and 316 stainless most common. Specify grade in the drawing or quote request.
Aluminum fabrication for lightweight enclosures, heat dissipation applications, and structures where weight is a consideration. Common in instrumentation enclosures, offshore and oilfield applications, and mobile equipment panels.
Standard deburring and surface preparation included. Powder coat, paint, primer, and galvanizing available as specified. ANSI 61 gray is standard for most industrial enclosures unless noted; custom colors and RAL specifications accepted. Specify finish requirements in the drawing or RFQ.
Getting a fabrication quote starts with what you can provide. The more detail you have, the faster and more accurate the quote will be, but we'll work with what you have.
Send us drawings, schematics, field sketches, photographs, or a written description of what you need. For replacement parts, a photo of the existing component plus rough dimensions is often enough to begin. For new builds, a formal drawing or specification is preferred but not always required to start the conversation.
We review what you've submitted and identify any missing information we need to quote accurately: material specifications, tolerance requirements, finish specs, hardware requirements, and electrical content if applicable. We'll ask specific questions rather than broad ones.
We issue a fabrication quote covering the scope of work, material, finish, hardware, lead time, and any electrical content included. For complete equipment packages, we'll identify any items that require supplier lead times. The quote will be clear about what's included and what's not.
You approve the quote. For complex orders, we may request drawing approval before cutting material: especially for tight-fit replacement parts or large equipment packages. Once approved, we proceed to production and communicate on lead time and delivery.
Completed fabrications ship from Houston, Texas. For large equipment packages, freight and crating options can be included in the quote. We communicate on ship date and provide tracking. Supporting documentation (photos, dimensional confirmation, material certs if required) can be provided with the shipment.
Don't have all of this? Send what you have and we'll work through the gaps. A photo and rough dimensions are enough to start the conversation on most replacement parts.
